Floors in factories and industrial halls, where large and heavy machines have their daily operations, are often exposed to high daily activity and heavy load. Therefore, are also required more repairs and maintenance of the floors.
In some cases, a repair may be sufficient if there is local damage to the floor, but if the floor has worn down over many years or if a new type of covering is needed, the solution is to mill the concrete floor.
Concrete milling removes residues from a given surface, previous coatings, and adhesive residues, ensuring optimal adhesion for a new coating. At JTI Gulventreprise, we have our own Wirtgen W35 Ri concrete milling machine, which mills both concrete and asphalt, e.g. for bridge renovations as shown in the videos on this page, but can of course also mill epoxy, Ucrete, and polyurethane floors.
Concrete milling is carried out by using a concrete milling machine with milling blades to cut into the floor to the desired depth, after which a suction system collects the dust and concrete at the same time. The milling blades can cut from 5 mm down to 110 mm in depth, and once the milling depths have been set on the old surface, the heights are coded into the concrete milling machine while it is running.
